Organize: learn about the interest of students through surveys and make a list of activities which they may like. But don't stuff the curriculum with activities only. Prioritize and provide something holds maximum interest of students.
Selection of council members: everything about the council depends on the students involved in it. It is important that members of the council are enthusiastic, proactive, vigilant, co-operative with students and have leadership qualities.
Group meetings: group meetings should be held at regular intervals of time in order to discuss various aspects of functioning of the student council. Ideally members of the student council, volunteers, class representatives, teachers, counselors must be a part of the meetings.
