A Feng Shui fountain placed indoors or as a part of your outdoor landscape design can have a positive impact on your ability to attract wealth and career success into your life. Interior fountains are a fantastic choice for attracting the correct energy when placed in your prosperity and career life regions.
Before we continue, I would like to give a bit more context for this discussion.
One cannot fully understand Feng Shui without knowledge of the five elements. In ancient Chinese thought, the five elements are the substances that make up all physical matter in our world. The elements are of equal importance and each has a distinct role and influence. They are wood, fire, earth, metal and water.
Most masters agree that people are most comfortable when there is a healthy balance of the five elements in their living spaces. Part of mastering this ancient Chinese art of placement has to do with gaining an understanding the five elements, their qualities and how to integrate them into your home, office or any other area you wish to enhance.
When speaking of life regions, areas or aspects in Feng Shui, it is good to reference what is known as the Bagua map for greater understanding.
The Bagua map is used to identify these various areas within your home, office, desktop, garden or any area you wish to apply it to. There are nine distinct life regions--each of them is significant because they embody the most important aspects of our lives, such as health, career, prosperity, family, etc...
Becoming familiar with the Bagua map and its application is just as important, when it comes to applying Feng Shui as having understanding of five elements theory. Many Bagua maps identify not only the life regions, they also identify which element finds its home within a given region, as well as the colors and possibly even the shapes that are associated with the particular element.
When you study the Bagua map, you will discover that the water element finds its home in the career and wealth regions. These regions are water's natural location, which is why an indoor fountain or other water feature will foster the correct energy that is needed in these areas for good luck, prosperity and career success.
Feng Shui teaches that water representations such as fountains, aquariums, waterfalls or ponds must be present to facilitate the "flow" of money and opportunities into your life. There is more to it than this, as there are considerations such as the direction of water flow, etc.
There are many beautiful Feng Shui fountains to choose from that are relatively inexpensive and low maintenance. Fountains have health benefits, relaxation benefits and make wonderful focal points that have the added benefit of flowing wealth and success your way when installed according to these principles.
